Please do not shoot the piano player. I, Emil White, am doing the
best that I can. I tried to get help from a few Lima Symphony members,
but to no avail.
This is the Baldwin Player Piano on which I performed our beloved
Alma Mater. Thank you for your kind patience and friendship during the
playing of this piece.

OUR FIGHT SONG
With Spirit
In the classroom
"oo, oo,
I Know"
FIGHT THE TEAM ACROSS THE FIELD,
SHOW THEM OLD SOUTH HIGHS HERE.
WE'RE GOING TO SET THE EARTH
REVERBERATING, WITH A MIGHTY CHEER.
RAH! RAH! RAH!
HIT THEM HARD AND SEE HOW THEY FALL,
NEVER LET THAT TEAM HAVE THE BALL.
HAIL, HAIL, THE GANG'S ALL HERE,
WE'RE GOING TO BEAT CENTRAL HIGH TONIGHT!

MR. WILLIAM TEMPLE AN EXCELLENT EXAMPLE OF A WONDERFUL EDUCATOR
Mr. Temple was a pure professional in everything he did musically for the Lima Public Schools and students.
He excelled as a director of music by leading the Lima South Senior Choir, and by directing 16 annual elementary musicals to be staged at both South and Central.

LIMA SOUTH UNITED NATIONS PAGEANT
Supervised by William G. Temple
At the time there were sixteen public elementary schools in Lima. Each elementary school was responsible for practicing and presenting their musical in front of a large audience at either South or Central High schools,
according to which district the elementary shool was located. The high school drama and music departments
teachers could view promising candidates for their class plays, musicals, and operettas.
Here are four pages from the program that introduced us to our future fame at South. The musicals were
presented in the Spring of 1949, and the following six schools represented the South District:
Jefferson, Lincoln, Longfellow, McKinley, Washington, and Whittier.

LINCOLN, WASHINGTON, WHITTIER

JEFFERSON, LONGFELLOW, McKINLEY
